Berry Plastics Group and Klockner Pentaplast Group reported that the companies recently entered into a marketing alliance to offer form-fill seal packaging solutions, on a global basis to the food, consumer, pharmaceutical, and medical markets.
Klockner Pentaplast manufactures multiple types of forming films used to produce trays, while Berry Plastics manufactures non-forming lid stock films using various sealant chemistries.
"We are very excited to enter into this agreement with Klockner Pentaplast," said Greg Kughn, Sales Development Director for Berry Plastics' Flexible Packaging division. "By marketing our products together, we will serve as a single source for our customers and have the ability to offer a complete solution for some of the most demanding packaging."
According to a media release, with nearly 100 years of combined experience, Klockner Pentaplast and Berry Plastics are able to engineer specific solutions to meet customers' performance criteria, including seal and peel, gas barrier, clarity, heat resistance, and post-consumer recycled content.
